    Minecraft: Java Edition Code Won't Work


    Hello, I got my friend a Minecraft: Java Edition gift card for his b-day, when he tried to put it in, it stated that it was invalid or already claimed. This was brand-new and it was not scratched off before my friend entered it in. I have searched for help but could not find any. Looks like I just wasted $30. Could anybody help with this?

    CLiP license id does not match the device in the bound device license

    I don't get an error code accept for "an error occurred on our end" and a manual install also does not work.

    Also is their three packages for the minecraft launcher?

    One that is for both java edition and inecragt for Windows

    The second java edition

    The third minecraft for windows.

    I did eventually get a version to work since the old launcher redirected me to the new launcher which I installed and did let me install minecraft for windows version.

    However the store version which downloads java edition and something else never worked.

    Not by reseting not by uninstalling and reinstalling not by downloading from the minecraft website and manually downloading.

    You can't use the Windows 10 code for Xbox.

    Xbox and Windows Minecraft are two separate products.

    If you have bought Minecraft Xbox One Edition digitally, you can upgrade to Xbox Minecraft for free.

    But owning Windows or Java Minecraft won't give you Xbox Minecraft. Sorry.

    if i got the minecraft java redeem code and i redeemed it will i get bedrock for free or i need to buy the redeem code of the java & bedrock ???

    Thanks alot Ben and im doing well but i meant if i want to get a minecraft java redeem code will i get minecraft bedrock also cuz Im thinking about buying minecraft java redeem code and because minecraft did the java & bedrock edition together that means that i will get minecraft bedrock too
