    The account in question ive had for years without changing any settings that would prohibit me from playing multiplayer, but now it says i have to change and allow certain things such as being able to join multiplayer games, and creating and joining clubs,
    both of which i have had no problems doing in the past, but when i went to get into my account i reilized i had forgotten my password. Ive changed my microsoft passwork before with no problems just me verifying some things and that was it and i could change
    it, but this time it had me list my Xbox live ID, my last password i had used and more, to recover my account, upon completing it and getting the code from my email, it said it was done and i woukd have to wait a full month before i could be back on it. All
    this to fix something that was working jn the first place, and im a little frustrated with the whole situation, had anyone else experinced something like this?

    Hello,

    To change your Microsoft account privacy settings, sign in to the privacy & online safety page You can also make these changes on an Xbox One, Series X|S console or through the Xbox Family Settings app.

    When making any account changes, make sure to select “submit” to confirm and save these changes.

    Note: If you’re using a child account, you’ll need an adult in your family to sign in to their Microsoft account to change your privacy settings.

    To play Minecraft Realms, you need to allow the following settings:

    “You can play with people outside of Xbox Live”

    “You can create and join clubs”

    “You can join multiplayer games safety”

    Set the above settings to allow and you should be able to play online in Minecraft. Although if you encounter any issues with this, here is a Multiplayer troubleshooting page:

    “Join Multiplayer Games” Settings
    If you have your settings set to block joining multiplayer games, you can’t join any multiplayer games in Minecraft, including shared local worlds, Realms or servers. To enable multiplayer in Minecraft, make sure this setting is set to ‘Allow.’

    However, just like ASCllnaut, that setting was already turned on for my children. In other words I'm in the same boat, we can play on the LAN but not on a realm.
