    Minecraft Installer not working on Website or Microsoft Store


    I recently bought the Minecraft Deluxe Collection. When I downloaded the launcher, I clicked on the file, it brought me to the installation page and said "Looks Like Something Went Wrong". I then tried going to the Microsoft Store to get it, but it keeps saying "Retry" and "Something happened on our end" and "Access is denied". I ended up having to download a different launcher and it worked, but the Windows Minecraft (Bedrock Edition) needs the newer launcher which I cannot download. I already tried signing out of Microsoft Store, WSReset, I also tried Repairing Microsoft Store. Please someone help.

    Can't install Minecraft on Mac

    The Microsoft store is not supported on mac. If you want to install minecraft on mac go to minecraft.net and download the DMG installer. If you want bedrock edition or to install it through the microsoft store you will need to use bootcamp to install windows. The best way to get it is through the minecraft website.

    Minecraft installing via Xbox game pass not edition bought from official website.

    I have tried installing via the Minecraft websites installer, but it says "error continue in Microsoft store". It then still installs with Xbox game pass.

    I bought Minecraft Java edition for windows 10 from Microsoft Store but library it is showing that you don't have any game purchase .

    Did you purchase it on Microsoft Store/Microsoft Website or Mojang's website?

    Because on Microsoft Store, there is no Minecraft Java Edition, it is available on Mojang's website.

    We understand that you are trying to play Minecraft and you were having issues with the launcher and game. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner for you to get back to gaming.



    There are two ways to install Minecraft Launcher, first is through Microsoft Store (Minecraft Launcher) and second is through Minecraft website (Download Minecraft & Server Software | Minecraft). Since you have issues with Minecraft Launcher, we recommend your try to uninstall the launchers you have installed and make sure you are using the correct account on Microsoft Store.

    Then, visit Minecraft website to check your account that should show no Buy now option for any of the game versions of Minecraft (Login | Minecraft).

    Next, try to install the Minecraft Launcher from the Microsoft Store and see if issue persist.

    The last resort is to download the launcher and install it from Minecraft website. See if issue persist for the game.

    java edition minecraft

    Hi Jakemoran3

    So... there are two versions of Microsoft. Both work on Windows 10. One is purchased from the Minecraft website (java editions) and the other (bedrock edition) is purchased through the Microsoft Store (the app store on Windows).

    If you have purchased the Java edition, all you need to do is download the installer, sign-in into the installer and then it will download the latest snapshot of the game and run.

    The installer can be downloaded here:
