Minecraft Import Skin is not working

for some reason it let's me click it and select a image but when done it just goes back to there as if nothing happens I have trusted skins off and tried it on to but it just won't work and none speaks about it anywhere and it's driving me insane

Normally a Minecraft skin file is 16x16, and can go up to 32x32 on Bedrock edition. If the image is the in the correct dimensions, you could try using something other than the default photo manager.

Many photos on iOS will be compressed in the default photo library, and can stop the skin from working in-game. You could try using a different app for photos, or use the files app instead. If Minecraft doesn't let you import the skin directly from the files app, try sharing it and saving it to photos, then import it as soon as possible.

If you're on Windows, then the only possible issue you could be having is incorrect image dimensions or a wrong file format.

If you're on Android, then like Tadeu said, try using a different app for importing the skin.

Yes when I try to change my skin in Minecraft Java my skin is stuck on the Alex skin but the same skin works for the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft . And I have tried using another skin but that too did not work .
