Minecraft gamertag not changing

Hello, I really need help

I made a Microsoft account, but ended up with a gamertag that had numbers after it. I did not like it, and was willing to spend the 10 dollars to change it. I got a new gamertag, but when I loaded up Minecraft, it had not changed. I logged out and logged back in, and now the Microsoft account name had changed, but in game my username was still the old one. I am slightly annoyed I spent 10 dollars, and can not change my username. If you know what'js wrong, or think you could help, please do reply to this.

Your Minecraft name is integrated with your gamertag so what ever your gamertag is, that will be your Minecraft name and it is already fixed unless you make changes to your gamertag.

Hi! While I personally don't play Minecraft and therefore can't tell for sure, most games simply use your gamertag. If that's the case for Minecraft as well, you would have to change your gamertag in order to change your ingame name.

hey Jesse, at least, there is any possible way to change the gamertag without paying money? xbox gamertag, not minecraft

You have used your free gamertag change, you stated you changed it to
crowleythoth. The game only showed the automated gamertag because your account just hadn't updated to show the new gamertag on minecraft yet.

It takes time for that change to be pushed through all systems. If it hasn't changed in 48 hours or so then I'd be concerned but this is completely normal.
