I bought my grandson minecraft for xbox 1 december 2015, today it is not allowing him to play it, but asking him to rebuy it, anybody have any suggestions

Missing minecraft game licesene

Right so I have played Xbox one edition of minecraft before and i haven't played it for a year or 2. And I've now decided to play it again and it's asking for me to pay for the entire game again, and believe my minecraft game license has gone missing. I've
tried many things like restarting my Xbox and nothing's changed, big issue.

Castlevania:SOTN, asking me to pay for it again.

Went back to it an hour later and was able to download it.

The same thing has happened to me. I bought the game in 2014, and the last time I played was March 2016. Now I am trying to play again and it says I do not own it. Total garbage. I suggest you see if you can find proof of purchase in your account transaction
history or a confirmation email from the purchase. Mine has all mysteriously disappeared. Needless to say I am extremely angry. I will never be buying a game digitally again.

Hi Fernando,

I have tried this already and it does not work.

The problem is that when Iog into microsoft and look at my owned games, it appears that my microsoft account does not own minecraft java edition and only owns the bedrock edition, even though i've been playing Java edition on it daily up till now.

I bought the game from the Minecraft site itself, the top of the screen has a "Buy Minecraft" button

Hi Riley!

Where exactly did you buy the game from? Which store specifically?

Make sure that you sign in your correct Microsoft account from Xbox app, Microsoft Store, and from PC Settings > Accounts section.

You could also reset your Launcher, Xbox app and the Store.

I tried logging into my Microsoft account, it took me to a gamertag screen, I entered my tag and it let me in

I try again on my other computer and it says "That gamertage isn't allowed. Try another"
