Minecraft for windows not downloading - Code: 0x80242020

Let me see if I can offer a couple of items to try.

You can attempt to Repair and Update the Microsoft Store app. Here is how!

1) Install any pending updates for windows. Go into Windows settings, Updates, and check for updates.

- Wait for everything to install, you may need to restart your computer when finished

2) Log out of the Xbox and Microsoft Store

- From in the store, click your icon in the top right and hit sign out

- Restart your computer and launch the Xbox app and do the same thing to sign out of your profile there

3) Go back into your settings and search for Apps

- Look for Apps & Features, find the Microsoft Store on the right-hand window

- Go into Advanced options, and select Terminate, then Repair (wait for it to finish), and then hit Reset

4) Repeat these steps also for the Minecraft Launcher

5) Update the store by going into it, going to your library in the bottom left and click Get updates at the top. Just like the screenshot you provided above

First check if windows 10 is up to date. Make sure your time and date are correct on your windows settings.

There is an "Optional Updates" button in the smallest print. Kindly check and go to driver, and download the existing drivers needed. Then restart, plug in the Receiver. Go to the same optional updates, and updated the driver.

Make sure that this is turned on "Receive updates for other Microsoft products when you update Windows" under Advanced Options

Check for store updates: Start menu, select Microsoft Store > More > Downloads and updates > Get updates.

If Updating the system doesn't help, I'll suggest you run a scan to check for problems and repair them.

Press Windows + R, type cmd, and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to run Command Prompt as administrator. Next type sfc /scannow in Command Prompt window, and press Enter to start to scan and repair corrupt system files in Windows 10.

Well none of these were of any use, everything is up to date and have redeemed the key back in 2019 as I can see from my old receipts.
I am still just getting something happened on our end constantly, is there any help you can provide besides from the copy pasted stuff you send most issues.

Same issue here. I think it has something to do with install locations, especially when the install location in the Xbox App and under System Settings, Storage in Windows differ. However I haven't been able to make it work and apparently Microsoft themselves are equally clueless.

I have the same problem. When trying to download Sea of Thieves for the PC, I either get the error code 0x80242020, or it just allocates disc space indefinitely. Would appreciate some help..
