Minecraft For windows installation does not work at all. It is difficult to find similar cases.

Have you tried to install Minecraft for Windows from the Microsoft Store instead from the Launcher?

If so, it does not let you install or the installation does not even start?

So I’ve had a similar problem and I found out that my pc tried to download it in the background and was paused, therefore everytime I tried to download windows edition through the minecraft launcher I wouldn’t get anywhere.

I deleted the game file (typed “minecraft windows 10” to find it as I couldn’t find it in any directory) and tried re-downloading it again and it’s working fine!

Thank you for contact the forums. I had a similar issue to yours on redownloading Minecraft on your Windows computer. Please make sure you are logged into the right Microsoft account. Launch the windows store app and in the top right hand corner click on
the 3 dots. Then select 'My Library' and on the left hand side click on 'Ready to install'. From the drop down menu on the top, switch 'All types' to 'Games' and find Minecraft based off the date you redeemed Minecraft for Windows 10. If you require any other

Been having similar problems. The automatic driver installation can't find a driver for it and the windows support page amounts to "Plug your controller in, it should work now." Which is rather unhelpful.

I don't get an error code accept for "an error occurred on our end" and a manual install also does not work.

Also is their three packages for the minecraft launcher?

One that is for both java edition and inecragt for Windows

The second java edition

The third minecraft for windows.

I did eventually get a version to work since the old launcher redirected me to the new launcher which I installed and did let me install minecraft for windows version.

However the store version which downloads java edition and something else never worked.

Not by reseting not by uninstalling and reinstalling not by downloading from the minecraft website and manually downloading.
