    Hello everyone!

    I got a problem connecting to my friends local server!

    I'm endlessly stuck in the "locating server" screen, my friends say my character does join the server I just can't take control over it.

    I've been through all the connection troubleshooting and all the Teredo Troubleshooting Stuff, actually had problems with Teredo too but fixed those.

    Yesterday I updated my video drivers and then it suddenly worked, today it doesn't anymore, I reinstalled the graphics card drivers but still nothing.

    Using a VPN I CAN actually join but the free one I got has a 500MB data restriction per day and that is used up after around 20 minutes. I loose connection again when the VPN is deactivated.

    I'm not willing to pay for a VPN just for this.

    So, can somebody please help me with this?

    I'm at the end of my knowledge. :-/

    Hi Animefreund,

    I'm sorry to hear about this issue being experienced not being able to join another server. It seems like it could be the result of a bug in that specific server if you updated your drivers and it worked, but no longer works now. Did you change anything
    in between updating drivers and not being able to join that server that would've caused it to not work anymore?

    Can you join other local servers and can other's join you if you host a server?

    If you haven't done so, I recommend re-installing the entire game and restarting your PC and then try again.

    I'm doing the connecting over Xbox live, his server just shows up under friends and I click it to join.

    Hi! Thanks for the answer and advice!

    My friend who's game I'm having problems to join can join a world of mine no problem.

    I re-installed and it still doesn't work.

    It ONCE decided to work randomly for a bid before disconnecting me again.

    I did de-install Geforce experience, cause someone somewhere said that it's optimization doings making the problem.

    Ok, while I was writing this I reinstalled Geforce experience and it suddenly decided to work again! Hurray!

    but I don't trust it, so I'm not gonna declare this solved yet.

    How are you trying to connect? Are you using your friends external IP address or internal one? If it's external, that could cause issues - make sure you're using internal IP's (192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x for example).
