  1. Minecraft for Child Account on Microsoft Family

How can I let my child play Minecraft using using their child account setup using Microsoft Family.

I have purchased, downloaded, and installed Minecraft using my (parent) account. Its through my Xbox username.

We do not own a XBox console. Not sure if that matters.

Minecraft is not available under my child's Microsoft account. I don't even see options to allow it in Microsoft Family.

Has anybody successfully set this up for their child?

    :)

    Hi Sole_Z,

Thanks for your post! To have an adult account treated like a child account, simply add the adult account to a Microsoft Family as a child. The Microsoft family will then treat said account as a child. For more information on adding members to families check
out: Add members to your Microsoft Family.

I hope this information helps, thanks again!

2 Minecraft accounts but only one email to use for managing them in Microsoft?

Thanks all. If Microsoft is listening at all, this is an absurd way to manage these accounts. Most families I know have multiple child accounts for Minecraft, those accounts should be able to be managed by a single parent and a single email account. It is at a minimum costing them my next Minecraft purchase.

zmiana konta rodzic na konto dziecko[change parent account to child account]

    Hi leon,

Thanks for your post. An adult account can be added to a Microsoft Family as a child, and will be treated as such. Allowing the owner of the family to adjust permissions to the adult account that would be considered a child account after being added to the
family. For more information on Microsoft Families check out:

I hope this helps, thanks again!
