Minecraft doesn't detect that I bought it

Basically, I bought Java Edition months ago (still have PayPal receipt) and recently when I tried to redownload the launcher it says "Play demo" even though I logged into my account. I think the problem might've manifested when I played Halo Infinite multiplayer and it told me to change my gamertag, and that somehow reset my account. Currently seeking for options to recover my purchase or get a refund.

The demo mode is available to any Mojang account that is logged into the launcher but does not own a copy of Minecraft

Please check to see if your account has a copy of Minecraft listed or available to redeem by visiting account.mojang.com/me.

If your account page does not show a Minecraft profile, start your Minecraft Launcher (if you are already logged in, you can log out through the launcher screen: click your username in the top right corner, then click "Log Out").

If you have a Mojang account, try logging in with any email address you have may have used for this purchase. You can reset your password at https://account.mojang.com/password

If you have an older Minecraft account, try logging in with your username. You can reset your password at account.mojang.com/migrate

If you purchased Minecraft after December 1st, 2020, you will need to sign into the launcher using the Microsoft account you purchased the game with, and not a Mojang account

There is no need to re-download or re-purchase the game unless you received an email stating that you were refunded.

Please respond. I am very frustrated. Been looking forward to getting this controller for about a month now and it doesn't even work. I noticed it does in fact work for some games (Shovel Knight and Geometry Dash) but I only bought it for Rocket League.
(The one it doesn't work for. Also Minecraft doesn't seem to detect it at all)

I will be happy to provide more information about my situation. Ask me anything. I really really want this issue fixed.

I'm very sorry to hear that you are having this problem, the first thing we should do is check if your purchase appears as completed in the transaction history:

Once you verify that your purchase is complete and the problem persists, it is best to open a ticket directly to Minecraft explaining what happened.
