    Minecraft co-op issues


    Good day all

    Hope someone can help.

    I have been trying to play Minecraft with a friend of mine but we can't seem to get the same version of minecraft.

    (I have the xbox app installed on PC, but I'd prefer not to purchase a 3rd minecraft.)

    He is running xbox (live) and I am running a pc

    He has a xbox Minecraft version 1.17.1 and

    I have a Windows version 1.17.2

    How can we get his xbox to update to 1.17.2?

    Or how can I just an older client 1.17.1?

    I also have the Java edition, but as far as I'm aware, the Java edition won't cross-play?

    (PS: we want to private co-op and not play on realms)

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    I would say that co-op is still going strong. Destiny is a game based around co-op. Plants vs. Zombies has the awesome Garden Ops mode, which is co-op. Minecraft for the One should be released next month and I know that will have it.

    I don't see why you can't. the full version of Minecraft lets you play 2-4 player local co-op. but if you try to play the demo version of Minecraft and it doesn't let you play with more then 1 controller then Minecraft blocks the 2-4
    player local co-op on the demo version.
