Minecraft - Children Unable to add friends

I can add my children as friends (and they don't have to accept which is disturbing), they are unable to add friends even though the Xbox permissions are set to allow friends, join clubs, etc.

We are using Minecraft (Mojang) from Google Play. Developer contact is an unmonitored email black hole.

Been trying to get this works for many weeks since I purchased it. Devices have been rebooted several times.

These are children enrolled/managed by my parent account. Their tablets are setup to use their Microsoft account in Minecraft but are unable to add friends.

Crickets. No suppott from Microsoft or the Minecraft group.

first check if the minecraft account his using on his phone is the same as his microsoft account or is link to it, then go to a pc with windows 10 and launch the xbox companion app, log in it using his microsoft account and search for his friend there.

My son loves to play Minecraft for Xbox 360 he needs friends to play with he is six years old and has good manners. His gamer tag is please add him! If you have any children under age 12 feel free to add!!!

On either iOS or Android there is an Xbox app to manage your Xbox Live account. I recommend you install that app on each of your childrens' devices, have them log in to that app, and add Friends from there. All you need to add a friend is the GamerTag of
the other person. Once both people have added the other as friends, it will be very easy to pick your family members to play with in Minecraft.
