    This one is new to me. I was thinking there is something wrong with my game or installer or even with my server config. But after searching for a solution I saw a multiple complaints about the same problem, even from year 2020. All proposed solutions in other topics didn't work for me.

    First, I found out this one:

    What is the problem, why the bug isn't fixed and why it happened only now. As far I understand it's the problem is connected with Microsoft account and something about the kids' protection and so on... I'm grown man, playing with casually with some friends on my private hosted server. And I can't chat in the game?

    Someone please be so nice and help me solve this "child protection for old man" paradox.

    Okay. Then it might be linked to the outage. Let's wait while it's resolved and hopefully that addresses the issue. Another option will be to reach out to Minecraft support so see if they can help as well.

    Update: I can talk/chat now!

    Probable solution: I went to xbox.com (again), checked the settings, moved some from Allow to Block and saved the settings.

    Now it works. Thank you Jesse for your time and help.

    The outage states party chat and party chat text. To know if it correlates for sure, did this issue start yesterday at around the time you created the thread or a long time before that? If it is before, how long exactly?
