Minecraft can't multiplay via LAN

My son recently had Minecraft for Nintendo Switch as a gift. Every since he logged in and used it, we can't play multiplay using either Xbox One or Tablet. We used to play with our Xbox One and his Samsung Android Tablet but can't anymore.

Any idea what can I do to remedy this?

What is it about cross-platform play that you're unable to do in order for you and others to be able to play? Are you receiving any error messages indicating a change in account settings would need to be made? Do you receive any errors at all?

I appreciate the response. The error was about outdated server. The version on my sons Tablet was actually needing an update which we both didn't realized. We can now play together again.

how is it incorrect, i play minecraft from my pc with my kids on their xbox's via lan, no gold needed.

you need to change the family safety setting to allow multiplay and multiplay outside of xbox live.
