Minecraft bought under wrong Microsoft Account email

I bought Minecraft in January for our PC, but typed in the wrong email address for the Microsoft account. I immediately realized and, starting the next day, I started trying to fix it. I didn't ask for a refund because I thought it would be a simple fix, and didn't realize that this was a huge deal until after the 30 days. I've called, done online chats, and emailed so many times and spent so many hours trying to just change an email address. No one seems to know how to fix it, and they pass me to other people, or have me try things that don't work. Among other things, I've tried adding the address to the Microsoft account, but it says the email is part of a reserved domain and can't be used. Meanwhile, I can't open the Minecraft game, and after 5 months we still cannot play the game that I paid for. It still hasn't been downloaded. Can anyone help with this?

What do I do if my replies are ignored? I've replied twice- with more than 72 hours between the two emails, and since the last email. It seems to be very difficult to email XBox, and every time I chat with them, they ask me to try the same steps that don't work. I would really like to use the game I've paid for but can't download.

Thank you for your response. I requested a refund, but the space to write the request was too short to explain the situation. They responded that it wasn't within the 30 day window. I tried responding to the email with a better explanation, but they never responded.

Honestly, support gives incorrect information all the time. It's unfortunate.
