Minecraft Beta Help, Stuck on public build (1.17.10)

No, I'm seeing no updates and it's still in 1.17.10! I switched to beta and its still in 1.17.10 IT DIDNT EVEN SWITCH TO THE BETA VERSION

In the Microsoft Store app, does the store recognize you have the game or ask you to buy the game? Can you also find the game in your account's purchase history?

Remove the game, check for Windows updates in Windows update and install everything including optional/additional updates. After doing these steps below install the game again and see if it solves the problem.

1. Logout from Xbox app and Microsoft Store app

2. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store in the Windows bar, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset.

3. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

4. Login with your account again in both apps

5. Open the Microsoft Store, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner ''download and updates'' and click on ''get updates'' and update everything.

6. Restart your PC to apply any updates and try again.

Not OP, but I have the exact same problem.

I've been stuck at version 1.17.10 both on PC and on Xbox One Series S ever since it released.
I've tried literally everything I could imagine, it just does not update nor install the updated version.

I got the W10/Xbox version of the game because I had the Java Edition, just like OP. I'm pretty sure that's related...

It was so very long ago, but I'm still scrolling https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders trying to find it.
