Discus and support Minecraft bedrock on windows won't update no matter what I do. in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; When I try to join my friends world, it says I have an outdated client.     Minecraft bedrock on windows won't update no matter what I do.


    When I try to join my friends world, it says I have an outdated client. Yet every time I play on "Newest Release" it brings me back to the same client. My friend is playing on a newer version yet I appear to be softlocked on an older and outdated one. (1.20.62 vs 1.20.71) I've done so much research into this issue and tried countless times to fix this issue.

    I have:

    - Uninstalled all Minecraft related things from my PC and reinstalled
    - Installed the Minecraft Launcher from the Microsoft Store to check for updates
    - Gone to the XBOX Store to check for updates

    - Spent countless hours frustrated because of this issue

    It seems no mater what fix is recommended to me, it doesn't work. Please help me fix this.

    (I copied this message from another person cause I still am dealing with this too. Are people still waiting for the fix? Or is there a way to fix and I'm just out of the loop?)

    I understand you're having issue updating Minecraft. Please note that the issue you copied has been resolved March 22, 2024, they released the 1.20.72 version to fix it. Updates are working normally now in Minecraft Bedrock.

    Minecraft Bedrock Edition supports cross-platform play with Xbox One, Playstation 4, Windows 10, Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch. To play with someone on Minecraft, you'll need a Microsoft account to do so, no matter the platform.

    Minecraft Windows 10 Edition is not updating to new versions on my PC.

    Minecraft Launcher is the same thing as Minecraft Java! I have issue with Minecraft: Bedrock Edition (Not JAVA EDITION). Do you understand this?
    When i installed Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on my laptop from Microsoft Store it has the latest version but when i installed Minecraft: Bedrock Edition at another device (PC) from Microsoft store it stuck on 1.17.10 version and don't updating to 1.17.41 version. This is Microsoft Store's problem, it doesn't updating my Minecraft to the last version on my PC.

    P.S PC and laptop has Windows 10.

    The update for the Windows version of Minecraft bedrock edition has been blocked until further notice due to a bug that was deleting some users worlds. There is nothing you can do to update it until the issue that Minecraft has is fixed.
