Minecraft Bedrock Edition (Xbox One) won't load past 46%

Hi all,

Today, since around 8am EST, my game of Minecraft (Bedrock Edition on the Xbox One) has been stuck on its loading screen since I open it, with the game only loading to 46%, and staying there for the rest of the time.

My internet is fine, and has been working on other devices, as well as other internet-connected programs on the TV. As well, other games on the console have worked just fine.

I have turned the console on and off twice and have restarted the console twice, to no avail.

What would you guys recommend I do? I host my friend group's Minecraft world and I would hate to lose all our hard work. Please give me advice asap!

Hello there!

In order to resolve your issue, I recommend that you try the troubleshooting steps provided below:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

Another step that you can try to resolve the issue, would be to remove and re-add your account. In order to do that please go to: settings> account> remove accounts> remove your account.

You could also try this troubleshooting step to clear any corrupted data from your device:

1- Go to settings on your Xbox

2- Select system

3-Select storage

4- Clear local saved games and your console will automatically restart

Note: When doing this step please make sure that you always play online so that all your data is saved to the cloud

If the issue still persists after going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 10-15 seconds plug all your cables back in and then restart your console.

Java Edition you won't be able to purchase from Xbox. You will need to purchase it from Minecraft .net

If you mean the Bedrock Edition that is crossplay enabled between Windows 10, Xbox One, mobile and Nintendo Switch you will need to purchase the game for each platform.

Minecraft Bedrock Edition for Xbox One is available on Gamepass.

You will not have to uninstall the Minecraft (Bedrock) as it won't affect the Xbox One Edition of the game. It is basically separate versions.

The Xbox edition of Minecraft in the screenshot is still the Bedrock edition, is it not? I should have access to Java through owning the Bedrock edition, and I don't understand why I wouldn't be able to play it if I played Java in the past with my Microsoft account without having to buy Java.
