    Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Crashes On Loading Screen When Surfshark App Is Running


    Hi, Minecraft: Bedrock Edition crashes on the loading screen while the Surfshark app is running, even if it added to the exception list and is being routed through the normal WAN address, why is this? If the Surfshark app is closed the game works no problem. If I use Surfshark on the router level the game also works fine.

    How do i know if i am running bedrock edition of Minecraft?

    Check the title of the game in your Games and Apps. If it's just Minecraft than it's the bedrock edition. If it's Minecraft Xbox One Edition, it's not.
    Ok i checked and it does say xbox one edition. I checked the store and it said there was a new version of the game available that I could download for free. I think this might be it. I was running the xbox one edition and not the bedrock version.

    A few questions;

    1. Is Minecraft the only app that crashes for you?

    2. Are you in the Windows 10 Minecraft Beta, or are you using regular Windows 10 Edition Minecraft?

    If you are facing this issue with only Minecraft app, I suggest you to run the app troubleshooter and check.

    1. Press Windows Key+X.
    2. Click Control Panel.
    3. Select Troubleshooting.
    4. On the left pane, click on View All.
    5. Click on Windows Store app to run the troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.

    I would assume you are trying to download on a windows pc.

    You will have to install the minecraft launcher first.

    To play Minecraft: Java Edition, download and install the correct launcher for your operating system. Sign into the Launcher using your Microsoft account, and you will be able to run Java Edition.

    To play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, you will need a device running Windows 10 or 11 to download and install the newest version of the Launcher, within which you can launch and play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Sign into the Launcher using your Microsoft account, and you will be able to run Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

    I checked and did not see it in my order history which is odd

    As for the minecraft site when I go to the page that says "My games" I see that it says Minecraft: Bedrock edition. If thats the cross platform one it doesnt say but the only other 2 on the page are Java and Dungeons so again not entirely certain. All I am certain of it I remember buying bedrock edition on the microsoft store and currently play it on PC running it through the Windows App
