    Minecraft Bedrock, can't load into any realm or server - PC


    Hello there,

    I am trying to load into a friends realm and having an issue that I am getting stuck at the loading screen. I have to close the app in order to exit the loading screen.

    I am on ethernet cord getting over 800Mbps

    I have reset router, many times

    My boyfriend uses same internet and can join the realm

    I have tried turning off windows firewall and still am unable to join

    I have changed internet connectivity TCP/IpV4 to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1

    I have tried changing DNS servers

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game countless times


    I can use my same account to play in the realm on my PS5

    Is there anything else anyone can think of? I can make my own world so this has to be some sort of network/account issue with minecraft as I can play other multiplayer games online on my PC, thank you!

    Minecraft for Windows, as it is, cannot be used on Xbox consoles. However, Minecraft for Windows is essentially Minecraft Bedrock Edition, which is the same edition used on Xbox consoles. That's why, for example, the Realms in Minecraft for Windows are the same as Minecraft Bedrock for Xbox consoles. In contrast, Minecraft Java Edition Realms are exclusive to PC and only accept Java Edition players.

    This is why most servers, even if they are third-party, have the same player compatibility system. It's highly likely that the server you're trying to access is intended for the Java version of Minecraft. That's why it doesn't allow you to log in from the Minecraft for Windows (Bedrock) edition, while it does allow access from the Java edition of the game.

    It's essential to clarify that "Minecraft for Windows" refers to Minecraft Bedrock, but that's how Mojang decided to name it on the PC platform, which can lead to confusion.

    It seems to me that possibly the problem is more focused on the compatibility of the server with the edition of Minecraft you use. Minecraft Java Edition servers do not accept Minecraft Bedrock players, or vice versa. It is the same thing that happens with Minecraft Realms, for example. There are separate Realms for each edition of the game for the simple fact that both editions are different and not compatible with each other.
