    Minecraft Account (Purchased after migration)


    My Microsoft account was compromised and the email address associated was changed to one that I do not own but is still a Microsoft-owned email address. Is it possible for Microsoft support to put my Minecraft account on my new account (currently owned by myself) if the email addresses originally used for both the compromised and my current accounts are the same? If so how should I approach this issue (I have the original transaction ID and the hacker's email address)?

    Hi Manuela,

    The hacker unfortunately managed to change my primary alias but the account is still there. I don't have a recovery code nor access to the email needed to verify, but the email address currently tied to the account is known. Is there anything I can do about such?

    Hello Kenneth, I know bad news is never welcome, but if the hacker managed to get your account, it is not possible to recover the account without the current email address.

    If you know the current email address attached to the account, you can try filling out the recovery form with that information.
