Minecraft account lost due to childhood xbox ban and mojang merger

Hey there, I had the exact scenario happen as well.I try signing in on the java launcher and it still says "We can't sign you in because your account has been suspended from Xbox Live." Could I ask, how were you able to get around this?

update: via the java launcher i can use my account but i cannot log in through the site at all
