Minecraft: 2 Xbox accounts under one email?

In this case, please uninstall your Minecraft launcher. You can do this by going to Start > Settings (the gear icon) > Apps > Apps & features > Minecraft Launcher > Modify/Uninstall.

After that, please follow the steps below:

- Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Microsoft Store > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

- Press Windows + R. Type TEMP and press enter. Delete all the files inside this folder. Repeat this step by typing %TEMP% and Prefetch. Delete everything on both folders too.

- Press Windows + R. Type WSRESET and press enter.

- Restart your computer. Open the Microsoft store and sign in with the same Microsoft account that owns Minecraft. Go to Library and install the Minecraft launcher again.

- Check your computer region/country and language and please make sure it is the same as your Microsoft account (https://account.microsoft.com/profile). Also check your time zone and date/time is correct.

Try to play Minecraft again and please let me know how it goes.

Done. My Xbox Profile is now in sync with the Launcher and the Minecraft website, however I still see "Play Demo" on the launcher even though I've purchased Java a few years back.

Hi Lucas, I've followed the instructions and ran the Windows 7/8 launcher but unfortunately the same problem occurred. I am aware of the different gamertags for Minecraft Java and Xbox.

It also seems that when I search up my '2nd' Xbox profile from my 1st profile on the Xbox website, it would appear as a completely separate account which I have no control over. I do not have any other Microsoft accounts, therefore does this mean anything? How shall I proceed next?

Hi I have the exact same problem where my Xbox account name says one thing and says I have paid for Minecraft but when I click on th manage profile button it takes me to a different Minecraft account where is says that I do not have Minecraft java edition and so can't play it. The only reason I was able to play on that pc was because it automatically signed me in when I sign in on another device using the email address used for my Minecraft account it takes me to the profile without Minecraft on it.

Rest assured that the Xbox profile gamertag does not have anything to do with your Minecraft Java gamertag, they are stored on different databases and different servers.

When you sign in on the Minecraft website it does show that you own Java Edition, right?
