I already moved mine to an HP 1080p display, but had to buy a digital audio capable speaker set to get the sound from the XB1 to play. Looking for suggestions from folks that might have done similar, i.e. whats worked, versus what you might have done differently...
BTW, I'm pretty much set on 24 , 27 or 28 inches.

Monitor or TV?

I too prefer sitting close (like at a desk) to a smaller screen. I have a few consoles (360, PS3, Wii) connected to a 47" 1080p Bravia through a 7.1 channel Marantz receiver running a full array of Polk Audio speakers, and then I have a few more consoles
(360, PS3, Dreamcast, Jaguar) connected to a 26" 1080p TV at a computer desk with no external sound. 95%+ of my gaming is done on the smaller display with no sound other than the TV speakers.

That said, I would go with the one that has a better set of inputs and sound. That would probably be the TV. But if you can get away with the inputs on a monitor and easily run a decent set of PC speakers (an audio out jack on the monitor is a big plus),
I would personally go with the monitor. A top brand monitor will be less expensive than a top brand TV. And with external PC speakers, it should sound better too. Hell, if you use the VGA input on the monitor for the 360, you can use it's HDMI input (providing
it has one) for HD cable or another HDMI device.

Xbox One Gaming Monitor 27/28inch

Hi,
I am looking for the best Gaming monitor for my Xbox one 27 or 28 inch, from what i heard it should be 60hz, 1080p, 1ms response time. However what i am looking for is the best picture quality, because mine right now i don't like. So give me the best monitor with these parameters with the most colors.
Mine is Viewsonic VX2753MH-LED i am looking for much better than that.

The quality of TV's is almost always better than that of PC monitors.

However you will be very hard pressed to find any 28" TV's these days that are native 1080p panels, almost all of them will be 720p.

So you might have to settle for a 1080p monitor, you can get models with built in speakers but they are often of poor quality.

Desk with 2 monitors (One curved 27" monitor and the other is a 40" 4K tv), PC (connected to both the monitor and tv), Astro a50s (PC/XB1), elgato hd60s (for the random times I do try to stream), XB1X, Switch, and PS4 (all connected to the 4K tv).

The screen difference isn't that bad cause I'm usually playing on one and have a Twitch/Mixer stream or Netflix/Hulu/Crunchyroll up on the other.

As a side note my monitor is 1080p 144zh and my TV is 4K 60fps.

Currently running on one of my Dell 24" monitors. Gave my T.V. to my son. Going to hold out and pick up a new 4k monitor for my PC soon and might pick up a 1080p 27" unit to supplement. Then I will run my One on that.

I used to use a 73" Samsung as well as a 43" Sharp Aquous but really prefer the smaller screen for 1080p. Nothing over 27" for me.

my sons 1080p msi 27" monitor supports freesync and 144hz over hdmi, it also supports 120hz for ps5 and xbox series consoles too. this has hdmi 1.4. Also tested.
