Migrated my Mojang account to a Microsoft account and now have Demo Only

Discus and support Migrated my Mojang account to a Microsoft account and now have Demo Only in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; I migrated to a Microsoft account today but now when I try to play Minecraft it says "Demo Only".     Migrated my Mojang account to a Microsoft account and now have Demo Only


    I migrated to a Microsoft account today but now when I try to play Minecraft it says "Demo Only". I saw that there was an issue at the end of February where Mojang had a bug to address however, that was three weeks ago. My questions are, is there something else I need to do in order to complete the migration, or is this a bug that's going to be fixed?

    Hi Garrotjax, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    We can perform troubleshooting steps to fix the issue.

    1. Please double-check you are logging in to the same Microsoft account you used to migrate your Mojang account.

    2. Make sure you are not logging in with your Mojang account. Migrated accounts will only be able to log in with your Microsoft account.

    Once confirmed, kindly sign out on your Minecraft launcher then restart before signing back in.

    Access to Minecraft after accout migration

    I'm having a similar problem. After migrating my Mojang account to a Microsoft account, when I attempt to login using the Microsoft credentials, it shows up as a non-paid / demo account. I don't want to have to buy the game again. I wonder if it is possible the account was migrated to a different Microsoft account than the one I am using, but Mojang support cannot address that. I would love to be able to lookup what account name/email address my old Mojang account was migrated to.

    I bought the game back in 2013 I'm a legacy account holder which was moved to mojang and now to Microsoft but after migrating my launcher no longer loads java says demo only I have re-downloaded the game and still the same demo only.

    Minecraft forgot that I already have it after migrating to Microsoft account

    You can't reverse the migration, but if you migrated your Mojang account to a Microsoft account you need to change and log now with the Microsoft login option on the launcher and use that Microsoft account now

    If even then you can only play the demo version is because you aren't using the correct Microsoft account or you haven't completed the Migration process, you can find more information about this here

    I am logging into Minecraft Java Edition with the Microsoft account that I migrated my Mojang account to, and instead of being a full/paid version of Minecraft, it is only offering me to play the Minecraft "demo" version.
