Migrated Mojang account to Microsoft account with gmail address

Just to confirm, are you still on the process of migrating your Mojang account to a Microsoft account? Or are you still creating a Microsoft account using your Gmail address to link your Mojang account to it?

You can recover your account by going to any Microsoft page (like https://account.microsoft.com/account) and, when on the sign up page, select "I forgot my password" and follow the steps.

If you can't recover that way and your Microsoft Account has a Microsoft email address (like outlook.com, msn.com, live.com, hotmail.com) you can try to fill the account recovery form at:

What worked for me was logging into the account that I had the Mojang registration on which in my case was a Gmail account and logging in through the Microsoft login for the Gmail account. I had created a new outlook account for the migration but it did not migrate to that account but rather went to the other account which I assume was linked to the previous Mojang registered account.

I migrated one of the 4 Mojang accounts. That is the one I am having issues with. The Mojang account emails are my personal Gmail account with "+NameMinecraft" where Name is their first name. Those Mojang accounts all have paid Minecraft purchases. But because they have a plus in them, I can't use them for a Microsoft account.

I also have a Microsoft account. And the new Microsoft account I got for my son when trying to migrate his account is in my family group. However his Microsoft account's email address is from outlook.com since it would not let me use his Mojang account's email.

I have not contacted support yet. I actually (mistakenly) thought this was a support board. I now realize it's a community site.

I'm sorry, but I did not understand this. Do you have access to the Microsoft account that you migrated or not? Can you sign in to it on the Microsoft website?

Or did you migrate to a Microsoft account that you do not have access to?
