Migrate Xbox gamertag - no access to email address created under any longer

If you do not at least have access to the email associated with the gamertag, you will not be able to access the Microsoft/Xbox account at all.

As far as I know, Xbox Support does not disclose the email address associated with a gamertag under
any circumstance (as a security measure).

I have a xbox ultimate account with BT, and it is registered against gamertag G*****, bt I have a second gamertag e**** . Both have the same email address But I cannot change from e***** to g******* to access my pass. It only logs me into e****. Can you help?

It is not possible to have two xbox live accounts (gamertags) under the same email address.

Your emails might be VERY similar but they can't be exactly the same.

If i were to try and create another xbox live account (gamertag) under my existing email itll tell me i cant because an account already exists under that email.

This does not answer the orignal question, this simply offers a way to reset the password. The problem is that the users original Gamertag is no longer associated with the email address that was used to purchase Minecraft, and a new Gamertag was created and assigned to that same email. The user wants to use their original Gamertag and therefore have access to their purchased Minecraft.

I am having this same issue. My Microsoft account did not recognize my Gamertag, I was asked to create a new one. Now when I logon I only see the new Gamertag, and I do not get credit for purchasing Minecraft, therefore I'm being promtped to buy it again. I would like my Gamertag (which was successfuly migrated in April 2021) to be associated with my Microsoft account email. THIS is the issue I think the original post refers to.

Once a Microsoft Account has a Gamertag associated to it, an Xbox Live Gamertag migration is not possible. Unfortunately in this case that means that your GMX email will not be able to migrate to your Gmail due to it already having an Xbox Live account tied

Ultimately, because I do not have access to the original email account any longer, I don't have reasonable avenues to recover my account. I am absolutely at fault for not having access to the email any longer, however, the forced migration and its failure doesn't rest on my shoulders. Just a poor customer experience is all.
