    Dear Microsoft, Thank you for ruining every Forza Horizon installment (And of course, everything that used to work well in the past), that has been released on PCs with your terrible Windows updates.

    Practically everything is incompatible with everything due to your updates. Whether it's because the latest graphics card's driver version is incompatible with the version of the game (microsoft game, on microsoft windows), or because the latest Windows update no longer works with the game anymore, and so on..

    Horizon 3 simply refuses to launch. Horizon 4 freezes on the splash screen, and Horizon 5 follows suit.

    I appreciate being able to throw my money out the window and, judging by your responses, the same will go for countless other users (whom you cannot assist in resolving the problem either)

    thank you for after purchasing games for $60 unable to play them. I find it infuriating and repulsive.

    Oh, and I have no interest in the pointless "update Windows, update your graphics driver, etc." suggestions... none of them work! And it seems to me that you don't even want it to work.

To be honest, this is not the experience we wanted you to have from your end and I assure you that Microsoft is committed to providing the best possible gaming experience for our users. Let's go ahead and check to see what we can do best to help address your concern.



    If any case you are not aware, please know that on every game there is actually specific system requirements that we are advised to have on our device in order for the game to properly work. You can check this link for you to verify that:

    (Note: The articles may be posted long ago but its a great help for the isolation process of the issue)

    Regarding your specific issue, we will be performing few steps that may help us to sort things out for to get back online. Before that and to better understand the concern, we will be asking you few questions:

    1. Is the issue presented to Forza Horizon only? If not, please provide us the list of games with this issue.
    2. How about other games? Were you able to check that?
    3. Are we using an Xbox app for launching this game?
    4. You mentioned earlier that you uninstall and reinstall the game, did you install it through Xbox app or different store?
    5. Do you have any 3rd party anti-virus installed or enabled on your system?
    6. Are you seeing an error message upon trying to play the game on your end? If you do, can you provide it to us via screenshot?
    7. Are you part of Xbox insider or PC insider?

    We would like to provide few steps that is related to Windows and Xbox issues. To proceed:

    • Try restarting your device
      • This would clear your computer's memory/RAM.
    • For the best performance, make sure your system's video card drivers (or display adapter drivers) are up to date. Drivers are available on the support website for your computers manufacturer, or if your computer system is custom built, on the video card manufacturer's support website. Updating video card drivers can resolve game crashes, improve frame rates, and improve overall performance.
    • If you are using an Xbox app, make sure to check if its updated. If not, make sure to check the dedicated application and gaming services from Microsoft Store.
      • Launch Microsoft app on Windows by searching it on windows search bar.
      • Select Library > updates & downloads > check if an update is available for the Xbox apps or gaming services apps.
      • If an update is available, select Update.
    • If you are using an Xbox app to launch the game, make sure that you are signed-in to the Xbox app and store with the same account. If not, kindly skip this step.
    • Repair the game
      • Open the Xbox app for Windows.
      • In My Library, select the game title.
      • Select the Move options (...) button and choose Manage.
      • Select Files and then Verify and repair.
    • Remove and reinstall Gaming Services

      Reinstall the Gaming Services app on your Windows 10/11 device:
      • Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows Powershell, and then select Run as administrator.
      • In Windows Powershell, type the following command and press enter:

        get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage-allusers
      • In the same windows, type the following command and press enter:

        start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
      • Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
      • Restart your device and try to install the game again.

    Sorry that that has happened. If you search on Google or read the fine print you will find out that your account will be set to auto-renew when you sign up even if it is for a trial. A lot of companies in the world do that. I mean a LOT.

    Next time you start a temporary account or any other account for that matter, you have to keep all relevant log-in details and info so that you do not have this problem again.

    Has Microsoft somehow justified that?

    My console is about to be replaced, but Microsoft can not make it in acceptable time. Can last up to 28 days, was told me. Everywhere you can buy the console, but Microsoft has no stock. Pretty sad.
