    Microsoft Xbox One Wireless Adapter for Windows - HK9-00002 / HK9-00001 does not work with the Xbox Wireless Headset microphone.



    I received my Xbox Wireless Headset from Amazon.com.br, yesterday, 06/10/2021.



    The headphones and microphone in this headset work normally with the Xbox Series S Console.



    I paired the headset with the aforementioned adapter. The headphones work perfectly on the PC, but the microphone doesn't work through this adapter.



    So I paired the headset directly to the PC without the adapter, so the microphone and headphones are working normally.



    Therefore, I would like to confirm whether the adapter is 100% compatible with the headset or not.

    It's kinda hard to update my controller,

    seeing as I'm using Windows 7, not Windows 10,

    and I've not any plans to upgrade to Windows 10 any time soon.

    I'm not using Bluetooth built into my computer,

    I'm using the dongle; Microsoft Xbox One Wireless Adapter for Windows (HK9-00003)

    Anything that has electricity running through it will heat up. Since you mention size, my guess is you have the original HK9-00001 (chunky black one that came in a green box reminiscent of the xb1 controller box). They just started out being fat for some reason. Later revisions slimmed down. If I were you, I would try to register the adapter on your devices/warrant checker. There is a very real possibility the one you have is counterfeit. A lot of them are. Even most of the ones being sold on Amazon are fake. They will still work as it's just a Bluetooth adapter, but it won't be perfect. If the device/warranty page doesn't let you register it, it's a bootleg.

    Hi, no problem.

    None of the controllers come with the wireless adapter, that needs to be bought separately. Product number 6HN-00003

    Odd that the cable isn't listed anymore, but the product you mention 4N6-00001 does come with a cable and Bluetooth (you can see that from the back of the
    box) as that one is Windows friendly (i.e. Comes with a USB cable)
