    Microsoft won’t allow me to play Fallout 76 despite owning the game.


    I recently bought Fallout 76 while it was on sale last week for pc and was playing perfectly fine. Today when launching the game my Xbox account thinks I need game pass for pc to play a game I own.

    Please try to check your game in the order history in this following website : Microsoft account | Home just to make sure that the purchase was through your account. However, if the game is in the account, I suggest to remove your account and add it back.

    Fallout 76 is not an Xbox play anywhere title. This means that you need to purchase it on PC if you only own the Xbox version and vice versa.

    Thank you for your post. To answer your question, Fallout 76 on Game Pass for PC only allows for multiplayer interaction with others who are playing the PC version of Fallout 76. Cross play is currently not supported by the game.
