    Microsoft wireless headset plastic issue

Has anyone had problems with the plastic by the mic button crumble? I noticed where mine broke. It broke by a small screw that was threaded into it but I don’t know where it went. Mine is less than a year old. -7m and because of that I will not be ordering another one I have yet to call but based on the responses of others and their experience it does no good to anyway.

If anyone has a work around or that Microsoft has come up with a solution please let me know.

I’ve been a faithful Xbox customer since OG xbox and this is the first time I’ve had such an issue on a high dollar item which is really disappointing.

    :)

Researching to buy new headset please help! :)

good luck not finding a headset made out of mostly plastic. If breaking the ear piece off is a issue for you, you may not want to spend a lot. plastic can break easy.

Xbox wireless headset - microphone plastic casing broke and unable to get fixed

This is insane. I got the same headset in June 2022 and have the exact same issue at the exact same spot! The plastic crumbled and I had the mute/unmute button with broken plastic in my hand. My warranty expired in October 2022 and I would fight tooth and nail to get this replaced. This is 100% a quality control issue and Microsoft should take ownership of this.

what is your fav headset or mic

I have the Plantronic 800XL. It works perfectly with my Xbox and PC. And it's far more durable, light, and higher quality plastic, than all Turtle Beach Headsets. Got it 12 months go, it's completely wireless, and good Dolby sound too. AND... It's cheaper
than comparitive Turtle Beach headsets too, only NZ$199. Equivalent Turtle Beach headsets are NZ$299-$499.

Have had the Turtle Beach X42, X500 something, and others, and within 6 months, the cheap plastic hinge holding the earpiece to the headset hinge, cracks. New Zealand and Australia have tough Consumer Rights Laws which protect NZ/AUS consumers. So got a
new pair or refund at my choice, when I returned my faulty headsets from Turtle Beach. Won't use Turtle Beach again.

I did buy the Xbox Blutooth wireless headset for Xbox 360, but found I had to shout into the headset for the cheap voice receptors to pick up my voice. Others had the same issue too. So got my money back due to the issue.

controller and wireless headset will not connect to first quadrant

I've read that if you previously used a wired headset and then went wireless, that sometimes the controller becomes "bridged" to the headset. And since a wired headset has priority over wireless, it messes things up. The solution was as as follows. Turn
off the console, controller and headset. Remove the battery from the controller and use a plastic flosspic to probe the headset input on the controller. Then obviously put the battery back in and start up. I haven't tried this simply because I never had
this problem, but a few people say it works. Be careful tho, don't scratch the headset jack. Hope this helps.
