Microsoft will not fix a known problem with out payment!

If Microsoft knows there is a very common issue with the XBOX Series X not turning on, why will they not take care of their customers with out charging them $299 more dollars to fix a $500 console that only worked for 6 months? (Warranty expired because it was bought early and not opened until Christmas last year) Tech support told me to take it to a third party repair place and pay them to fix it cheaper then Microsoft would charge. If a company knows they have a faulty product, shouldn't they fix it for their customers? It is not like you can just go get a new one right now either.

this is the problem with the US, over here in the UK you get a fixed 1 year warranty, then out of warranty if the unit fails you can declare CRA (consumer rights act) and pay £60 (refunded if found to be a manufacturing fault) to have it assessed and if found to be a manufacturing fault can be repaired or replaced free up to 6 years after purchase.

think it is about time the US starts looking after the consumers more.

Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with a Series X console.

I personally never had any issue with my Series S and X console.
Unfortunately once a console is out of warranty is very difficult to get a free repair :c as is stated on warranty TOS

Sadly there is not much that we can do apart from send it to a third party repair center or to official Microsoft repair center

did recovering the profile work i was told buy microsoft that this is a known problem and they were tryin to fix it but there was no known fix

It's a known Problem, and Microsoft is working on a fix for it.
