Microsoft website crashing when trying to initiate warranty repair for Xbox Series X

Hello everyone,

I believe my Xbox Series X overheats. It is still under manufacturer warranty (expires in December 2022), so I would like to make it fixed under this warranty. In my account, I click on "Start Order" under "My device" tab. I follow all the steps (asking about a description of the problem, my address, the kind a repair I would like...). Then at the next step after selecting my shipping and the acknowledging the packaging, I click on "Next", and I get an error message (see screenshot attached). It is so frustrating, I've been trying for weeks and I've always been getting this error message. I once tried to call the customer service center, the lady initially told me to re-enter my address (which I did), but I still got the error message. Finally, after waiting on the phone for 30 minutes, she told me she notified a support team and that they would call me back, what they never did.

I feel hopeless I don't know how I can have my console fixed...

Thank you very much for your answer. I had already tried with another device, another browser, and another OS.

I actually solved a few minutes ago the problem, after a 1000th attempt. When initiating the service, the windows that pops up asks you for details about the issue with your device. Initially I had written a short paragraph to give as many details as possible for the technicians who would fix my console, but it appears that this paragraph was too long... I wrote a shorter paragraph and it worked. There is probably some problem with the website if there are too many characters in the message I guess... Too bad, the technician won't have as many details as I wished they had, I hope it's gonna work anyway.

I'll remember your advice about how to contact the customer service if in the future I encounter other issues. Hopefully this post will help other users facing the same issue.

First, I would recommend you to try to submit your service request using another device. Try using other web browser too on an Incognito / Inprivate tab.

If it does not work, you can try to contact Xbox support by live chat. Go to the Xbox website and instead of requesting a callback, request to chat with a live agent.

Thanks for responding.. the controller wasn't crashing..Microsoft's website kept crashing when I was trying to replace my controller online through the warranty website

This limited warranty that you have covers only the hardware of the console (Xbox Series X), the control only has the 3-month warranty which is the term offered for accessories and devices from the Xbox brand.

*I recommend that you try to register the controller on the website, if it doesn't work, it's because Microsoft doesn't support this out-of-warranty controller.
