I'm his friend what he was trying to say is that he got hacked so he is using an online verification. And he is asking does he when he needs to verify his creditental information put the old version of the credit card he used to buy games or the new version on it that he didnt use on Microsoft.

I figured it out. You have go to Microsoft security settings and set up identity verification and two step verification.
