Microsoft Update will not work!

The update is the only variable in all cases that I've read that accounts for high capacity hard drives not being recognised. It is shameful for Microsoft to suggest going to the device manufacturer.

If a device has been working perfectly, has not had any updates to it (firmware or otherwise), and suddenly stops working on a Microsoft device that HAS been updated, then the issue is the Microsoft update, not the device.

Microsoft - you need to recognise your software failure and provide a fix. It is YOUR update that has caused the issue.

But realistically I've only seen this being an issue with a range of Belkin routers and its hard to imagine Microsoft working out what has affected those routers and releasing a further update to cater for it.

Anything is possible of course but I would certainly raise it with Belkin and Microsoft together it can't hurt

UPDATE: I went to my microsoft account and updated some security proofs and now my account works.

This worked for me as well, I knew the update did not work correctly when it did not turn my XBox back on. Another borked update and no word from Microsoft.

Now it's working. Dowloading the Day one update...Microsoft fix it...
