    Microsoft unable to find my gamertag


    Microsoft unable to find my gamertag,
    I was able to chat with a Microsoft agent and explained my situation of how my email address associated with my gamertag was compromised many years ago. I was able to provide my consoles id's number that my gamertag was used on to the agent and they said they can reset the gamertag email address. However they came back to me and said they cannot find my gamertag. I am not sure why. Last time I was able to log into my xbox live profile was about 3 years ago. When I search for the gamertag on the xbx app and on my console I am able to see the gamertag and that it does exist.
    I am so close to finally getting my gemertag back and was able to provide the information they needed such as my previous 3 consoles id number's for them to be convinced its actually me but no they cannot find it on their end. But I am sure it still does exist because I can find it when I search or it and even of I try and make a new account on the same gamertag it says the gamertag is already in use.

    Any suggestions?

    Have you been able to find the profile of his account and can't friend through his profile link? Or are you just unable to find the gamertag?

    GamerTag Inactivity?

    Some gamertags might not seem to be taken but are because they exist with different spacing.

    For example the gamertag vote DC will show as free by gamertag checkers and you wont find it on this site. However you'll be unable to claim it because my gamertag,
    , exists.

    The LIVE system sees both of those as the same thing.
