Microsoft support inadequate, someone assist

Do you have any external storage units plugged into your console? if you do, please remove them all and try installing your game directly onto the console's internal storage.

If that doesn't work or you are not using external storage with your console, then please give this a try:

- Eject your disc, and leave it out throughout this process.

- Go to Settings > Devices & connections > Remote features, and make sure Remote Features are enabled for your console.

Do a power reset on your console:

1. If you have an external HD, please unplug it and let it unplugged for testing purposes.

​​​2. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

3. Unplug all the cables (power, HDMI, etc..) and wait 5 minutes.

4. After 5 minutes, plug all the cables in again (except for the external HD) and then turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console.

- Download the Xbox mobile app and connect it to your console.

- Look for your game through the app's search bar.

- Select "*Download to console". This should trigger a digital download for the game, even if you've never purchased it digitally.

- Wait for the game to complete installation and insert the disc, then try launching the game.
