    Dear Support,

    This is an issue that has arose from a wider issue that I shall explain for context.

    I have been using a gmail account as the host for my microsoft account (for system log in etc) until recently where I created an outlook account as I wanted to make the shift to outlook and buy gamepass and have everything nice and synched on my new pc.

    After complications with trying to change that (Now rectified through local accounts forum support I found) I have now got an issue where the xbox app and microsoft store won't even give me the option to signout.

    For xbox app it is still showing the old account as the one that is linked to the store. When I follow the link to change this account I assumed it would be an easy sign out and then back in with the new account. However the store is showing no way of signing out of the store.

    I don't know if solving the store will solve the xbox app but I just purchased gamepass and I am eager to get it set up on my rig.

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Microsoft Store won't let me sign out.

    No worries, I will suggest to log out your Microsoft Account via Settings.

    1. Open the Settings by pressing Windows Key + I2. Click Accounts

    3. Click Sign out with all applications or Sign in with a local account instead

    4. After logging in again, please make sure to not choose to log in with all applications.

    Also if it matters, my Microsoft store app doesn’t let me sign back in after I sign out- I’ve reset that in setting as well and it signs me back in after.

    I appreciate you letting me know. Please sign out and sign back in as well on your Xbox App and Microsoft Store App.

    Removed every Microsoft and XBL related thing in there besides the Wi-Fi access token and restarted the computer, still no result--it even still says my store account is signed in, but won't let me sign into Xbox

    That's strange indeed as if your network connection may possibly be blocking the websites.

    Try to use a different network connection/Internet Service Provider as part of our troubleshooting steps.

    You may try to access your account on your friend's home network on Xbox.com and account.xbox.com.
