Microsoft Store updates too often

Check if you have windows updates pending install. I know you said it's up to date but double check anyway.

I found that Windows store often wont download anything when there are windows updates pending.

If your computer is up to date then try resetting the windows store.

Bring up the run box by pressing Windows Key + R then type wsreset.exe

Then try again.

There are also built in troubleshooters you can try too. Might be a good idea to run the troubleshooter for Windows update as well as the store

Also there is a service alert for the windows store so that too could be the cause

Unfortunately, I can't revert back before the update as I updated to 1909 on 12/25. I don't often go through the Microsoft store, so I'm only realizing this issue now after purchasing a game last night.

I understand the console needs to be updated and when you are an insider it updates often but Microsoft should make it possible to download the update in the background while using the console and then when you are finished and go to the home screen an
option should pop up to update the console now/ I am an Insider and all too often the second I turn on the console the download starts and I have to wait until the update is finished until I can use my Xbox.

These steps can help you too, give it a try.

1. Logout from Xbox app and Microsoft Store app

2. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store in the Windows bar, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset. Do this with the game too.

3. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

4. Login with your account again in both apps

5. Open the Microsoft Store, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner ''download and updates'' and click on ''get updates'' and update everything. After these steps try again.

2. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store app in the Windows menu, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset. Do this with the launcher too.

3. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

4. Open the Microsoft Store app, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner>downloads updates>get updates and update everything.

5. Restart your PC, log into the Microsoft Store, log into the Xbox app, log into the launcher and see if that solves the problem.
