    Microsoft Store Telling Me to Re-buy A Game I Bought


    I bought a key for Sea of Thieves and had no problems with it until yesterday. I tried customer support of both Microsoft and the website from which I bought the game from and neither gave me a solution. The problem is that I tried to play yesterday at
    around 7:00 pm CST and it gave me a message saying that I had to re-buy the game since it was refunded. I never put in a refund request and on my order history, it says the game order was cancelled. I just recently had this problem with Steam (the problem
    where a game tell me to buy it again) but it's just a technical issue. Is the Microsoft Store having the same problem?

    Bought game and telling me to re buy it

    Please try to check your game in the order history in this following website : Microsoft account | Home just to make sure that the purchase was through your account. However, if the game is in the account, I suggest to remove your account and add it back.

    I have no clue! I bought the Starter Collection for PC from the Microsoft store. When It tells me I need to unlock the full game, it takes me to the Microsoft store where it tells me I already own the game, and yet when I go to play it, it tells me I need to buy the game! :D

    Thanks Ricardo, but I downloaded the launcher and from the Microsoft store and used my migrated Microsoft account, but it is still telling me that I have to re-buy Minecraft.

    Bought game at Microsoft store on XBox One, worked for a while, now it won't

    I bought the disc at the store, disc wouldn't work so I bought it online.

    The physical one seemed to interfere with the download, telling me the disc is damaged, but I'd take it out and it'd tell me to insert disc to download 😆

    So I deleted both versions and clicked "buy" on the premium version again: the idea being that once I punched in my password it would tell me I own it already.

    It did.

    I didn't receive a notice saying I was being charged.

    Clear the the game out.

    Try the power cycle thing.

    Find the game in the store again.

    Hit "buy".

    Once it tells you that you own it you should be able to re download.
