Microsoft store refuses to allow me to play any games installed through gamepass [Error...

I am happy to help and see if we can fix this issue for you. I will suggestion some troubleshooting and if you have attempted this please move on the suggestion.



Solution 1: Xbox App settings

1. Open the Xbox
   
2. Click on your profile in the upper right corner of your screen
   
3. Select Settings
   
4. Click on general
   
5. Under Game and Install options
   
6. uncheck Use advance installation and management features
   
7. Restart your PC
   
8. Open the Xbox APP, go to settings and confirm that the changes you made are still good
   
9. Search for Forza and select the version you own
   
10. Try to install

Solution 4: Create a local user or administrator account in Windows . Sometimes you can have a situation with permissions or profile corruption. Please follow the steps in this link to see if that fixes the current issue.

Play games offline on Windows 10 using Offline mode; this error could also be attributed to issues with the Microsoft store not recognizing your entitlement to the game. Would you please click on this link Play games offline on Windows 10 using Offline mode | Xbox Support. Then scroll down and click on the drop-down arrow and look at the steps for How to enable offline play on your device.

Solution 6: Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files If some Windows functions aren't working or Windows crashes, use the System File Checker to scan Windows and restore your files. Sometimes corrupted files can cause issues.

The error seems to be from windows itself,

I un-installed the game and then tried to re-install it through the Microsoft store. it does not allow me to install the game through there as there is no install button? Only a BIG blue button asking me to join Game Pass for console.

I just checked one of the other games on the store that is on the game pass that I haven't installed (Sea of Thieves in this case) and that DOES have a blue install button present.

wait so you're telling me that a game that is marketed as being available on gamepass in my region, that the app lets me download and install, is actually not available in my region? what?

this bug is absolutely baffling. i've tried almost everything i can find to fix it - resetting store cache, reinstalling xbox gaming services, etc etc etc - and it still refuses to launch. i have no problems whatsoever with any other game on the PC Xbox app/ Game Pass, but this one seems to refuse to acknowledge that I should be able to play it.

Edit* I managed to solve the issue by installing the simulator through the Microsoft store instead of using gamepass.
