Microsoft store purchases not rewardable or rewarded?

Hi,

I've recently purchased a new Xbox One console and Gears 4 from the Microsoft store. I was wondering whats up with receiving points when using the Microsoft store? I was under the impression you received so many points per dollar spent, but I seem to have
not been rewarded at all. If not, how does the reward system work when using the store?

MONEY APPEARING IN MICROSOFT ACCOUNT!?!?!?

Do you have to sign up for microsoft rewards or will they just send some extra cash to anyone who purchases from the store? I recently bought a few games and would love a kickback haha.

 

Xbox rewards program updated

Many of you may remember how due to the change from Microsoft points to actual currency, the rewards program was shut down. Well it's now back with a whole new reward scheme. Awarding gamers with everything from currency credit to discounts on purchases. The basic idea is everything you do gives you point and then eventually you can redeem said points in exchange for in-store currency. Your get points for doing everything from making purchases to simply playing games. Gamers with a high gamerscore even get a discount on purchases.

It depends on which Rewards program you're referring to.

For the Xbox Rewards program, you only receive credits for microsoftstore.com purchases if there is a specific offer for them. For help with that program, you would need to post in the Xbox Rewards Questions forum.

For the Microsoft Rewards program I believe it also depends on what offers they are running at the time. For assistance with that program, you would have to contact their customer support. Their contact can be found on their redemption page.
