Microsoft store gift card and pay rest

Do I need to contact someone or something? I kind of think this is ridiculous. In stores you can pay with cash and the rest on a card..or use a gift card and put rest on the card. Speaking of gift card, I went to commerce.microsoft.com and there was an option
under the 3.60 for exchange for giftcard. If I did this would I be able to use that and then it takes the rest (.22) out of my bank?

I think my last resort is to get the rest of my balance off my current account. The problem is I have only $0.05.

Is there anything on the store that is 5 cents? Is there a way to pay with the Microsoft account then use the rest on a credit card? Or can I buy a gift card for $4.95? Anyone know?

Where did "pay the rest" come from? The OP stated that they have enough Microsoft balance to cover the full cost of whatever it is they are trying to buy

To the OP: Some things cannot be bought with a Microsoft balance, for example, gift cards, so maybe that is why it is asking for the card? You haven't specified what you are buying so it may not be the case of course
