    Microsoft Store Download Issue


    I'm on a laptop running the latest version of Windows 10 and I'm trying to download Sea of Thieves. The game is 39 GB, and with my average download speed of about 10 MB/s, it should have downloaded in about 1.1 hours. However, I let my computer download
    the game for about 11 hours now and I'm only about 65% complete (26 GB of 39). Is there some issue that causes the download to go on for so long? I've tried restarting my internet and also restarted the Microsoft Store with no luck.

    It's really quite irritating.

    If the game is 39 Gigabytes, and your download speed is 10 Megabits/second, that will result in a download duration of a bit more than 9 hours, if all goes well.

    Depending on other factors like internet traffic fluctuation, your PC doing other stuff on the hard drive etc., this can impair your download speed.

    unfortunately, the microsoft store doesn't go as well as it would have to go. rebooting game downloads from the beginning(and games like the gears of more than 100 gigs is a factory), download speed dropes, licensing issues... quest for smooth games....

    they must do a hard job of improving it, both for them and especially for us

    Getting "Try again later. Something happened our end" when I try to install 3 specific games.

    For this specific issue, I would contact Microsoft Store Support. It sounds like it may be an issue with the account connecting to the server to download and install your games.
