    Microsoft Store download automatically pausing


    So I just purchased Forza Horizon 4 from the microsoft store and I am attempting to download it. There is a big problem though. When I hit download it will start to download the game but after 10-20 seconds it will automatically pause the download and I
    then have to hit the download button again. I don't know if its saving the stuff that has been downloaded but it would take hours to finish the download if it did given the size of the game. I have restarted my computer and restarted my internet and had no
    success. Has anyone else had this issue as well and if so does anyone know how to fix it?

    Have you tried to reset the store cache?

    Press the Windows Key + R then type wsreset.exe and press enter.

    What you should've done is suspended the Microsoft Store updating by pressing the pause button on the update icon for it and pressing "Pause download." Clearing the queue will obviously clear everything you had queued up for download.

    Hi, from what I see you can't pause the downloads from the app itself. However if you open the Microsoft Store app and look in Downloads and updates you should be able to pause game/app updates from there.

    You can disable auto updates to games and apps in the Microsoft Store through the Store's settings.

    1.Select the Start screen, then select Microsoft Store.
    2. In Microsoft Store at the upper right, select the account menu (the three dots) and then select Settings.
    3. Under App updates, set Update apps automatically to Off.
    You can also manually pause or cancel updates if they do start through the download queue in the Microsoft Store. To get to the queue select the account menu (the three dots) > Downloads and updates.
