Microsoft Store Discs

Hi,

I was wondering if I bought a game such as Titanfall for the Xbox One from the Microsoft store if they would also allow me to download the game the same day for free so I may play while also waiting for the arrival of my disc in the mail. Hoping for a positive
reply but If not, they should, as this would completely eliminate Gamestop and boost Microsofts sales.

Get a different place to store your discs then. You can get a book type thing for like $10 that stores 100 discs.

Hey PCDUBAY, currently you cannot store discs to enable switching of games. Under Microsofts old plan this would have been allowed, but it was not popular. To do instant switching you would need to download games digitally from the Xbox Store

I doubt it. Think about it, if they allowed this, you could download the game thus owning the digital copy, then just return the disc. There is just too much possibility for misconduct.

Thanks for coming to the forums. With pre-ordering on the Microsoft store it will be digital download. To get it as a disc, you would need to get from a games store or anywhere they sell game disc. In the past you were able to get a disc version from the
Microsoft store but as the times has become more digital age, they are now all digital.

Depending on the game's availability, you should be able to download it from the Microsoft Store even if you don't own it digitally. You just need to insert your disc, cancel the disc installation and look for your game in the store (It needs to match your disc's edition), your console should detect the disc's license and allow you to download it from the Microsoft Store instead.

*Please do keep in mind that even if you download them from the store, you will still need their discs in order to play them.

Also, may I ask what happened when you tried to download them from the Xbox mobile app?

The Microsoft store is mainly digtal downloads. The microsoft store website does have a section of disc based game i took a look and it doesnt look like Fifia 20 is on there at the moment.

If you want a disc then you can purachse on from a local store or online from a retailer like Amazon gamestop game etc
