I have gamepass for pc and i wanted to try gears 5 and so i went to download it and installed but the update for it just says installing for forever. So i uninstalled it hoping that would help but it didn't the update is still there saying installing
and i cant get rid of it and I've had gaming services installed and now that is doing the same thing and i cant get them to go away.

I've tried repairing and restarting i cant uninstall gaming services and gears 5 isn't even on my pc but the update is still there but I can still install other games pls help.

Thanks for coming tot he forums for help. I've had this issue in the past myself. I logged out of my account and then signed back in and that did the trick. Hopefully it can work for you too

Kindly run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter

Windows 11 has a built-in troubleshooter for fixing Microsoft Store app issues. Here's how to run it:

Open Settings (Windows + I).

Go to System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.

Find and click on Windows Store Apps under Most frequent.

Click Run and follow the on-screen instructions.

Next is to sign in to the Microsoft Store. Please ensure that you are signed in to the Microsoft Store with the same account you use to install the Xbox app.

Open Microsoft Store.

Click on the profile icon in the top-right corner and sign in with your Microsoft account.

Once signed in, search for the Xbox app in the Microsoft Store and try installing it again.

Then kindly clear the Microsoft Store and Xbox App Data. Open Settings (Windows + I).

Go to Apps > Installed Apps.

Scroll down to find Microsoft Store and Xbox App.

Click on Microsoft Store, then click Advanced options. Choose Reset.

Do the same for the Xbox app by selecting Advanced options and then Reset.

After resetting both apps, restart your PC and try installing the Xbox app again.

After that is to manually Install the Xbox App. To do this, please visit the Xbox App page on the Microsoft Store.

Click Get to download and install the Xbox app manually.

If you're prompted to open the Microsoft Store, ensure that you're logged in with the correct Microsoft account.

Make sure the account that has the subscription is logged into the Microsoft Store app.

Log out of Microsoft Store and Xbox app, clear store cache, login to Microsoft Store and Xbox app, and try again.

To clear the store cache>

Windows key + R and type ''wsreset'', wait for the black screen to close and open the store automatically.

Please uninstall the launcher, the log out the Xbox app and the Microsoft store app, then restart the Pc and log back in the Xbox app and Microsoft store app, install the Minecraft launcher from the Microsoft store app and try to log in again with the Microsoft account option
