Microsoft store and Xbox app broke

I've been trying to redeem a code for Minecraft windows 10 edition, but after installing it still continued to give me the free, trial version. After trying to fix it through commands (wsreset), and several other ways, I ended up messing up the Microsoft
store and the Xbox app and they can't open. How do I fix this?

If you're having issues with your code that you got from your Mojang account, please
contact Mojang Support.

They're having problems with the store app and xbox app, not just the code.

@OP: First fix would be a simple reboot - have you tried that yet? Windows is smart enough most of the time to fix errors on reboot.

You could also try running "sfc /scannow" in an administrator powershell window to see if that fixes it.

If you are referring to the Microsoft Store on your Xbox Console then we can try a few things to see if that resolves the issue. First off, please try turning off your console by holding the on/off button for 10 seconds until the console turns off and unplug it from the power outlet for at least 30 seconds and then plug it back in and check if the problem persists.

If the problem continues, and since the Microsoft Store does not work independently like other apps since it is part of the Xbox console operating system, you will need to restore your Xbox while keeping your games and apps.

You can do it by going to:

Settings > System > Console info > Reset console > Reset and keep my games & apps.

Your console will be reconfigured and you will have to add your account again, so it is important that you know the emails and passwords for your accounts before proceeding. No game or app will be deleted, nor will you lose the progress of any game.

The Microsoft Store should be reinstalled during this process and this should solve the issue this time.
