Thank you for your response.

This is what I thought and the subscription shows in the iTunes section in settings, on my new iPad, but sadly no, when I open the app it is the free version with adds. I have tried deleting it and reinstalling but no difference. I have even deleted it
from my iPad Air and logged off iTunes incase you are only allowed 1 device per prescription but still no luck.

I have been trying to get an explanation or answer to this for 2 days and none of my searches have a discussion on this problem or if they have no answer has been given.

I even tried logging into xbox and getting help there. the person tried for ages and could not find an answer for me.

Current attempts are asking here and also via the apple support app.

Therefore anyone who can bring a bit of light on this topic please, I would really appreciate it and I am sure others will too. I can not be the only one.

I received a response from Apple support confirming what you had already told me. With renewed confidence I decided to try a few things. ( I also had not been able to get the Premium version on my iPhone 7 since taking out the subscription)

I got it to work YEY!!!

This is what I did, incase others have the same problem.

Although I was logged into my apple ID, naturally doing this when I set up the new ipad pro and the subscription was showing in the itunes subscriptions, for some reason the Premium subscription did not happen when opening the app on the iPad Pro or since
purchasing the subscription, on my iphone 7.

I deleted the Solitaire app, went into settings, itunes subscriptions ( you have to confirm your password during this process) I can see the Microsoft subscription. I Changed to Apps and downloaded the Microsoft Solitaire app again, opened it and yey it
is now the premium edition.

I have now done the same on my iPhone 7 and the premium is now showing there too.

For some reason it needed me to be in the iTunes subscriptions in settings, while downloading the solitaire app and opening it to work. Strange but it now works.
